Malaysia's Own Oktobefest Media Launch !

September is a busy month for me.In a week i've 3 events to attend and blog about. Iam so sorry to late updating my blog for this Carlsberg event. Anyway, on last 26 September 2012,  i was invited by Carlsberg to Hakka Restaurant for their launching of 3 brew , Oktoberfest and special appearance for finalist Ms Universe Malaysia 2013.

Malaysia Own Oktoberfest 2012 is presented by Carlsberg Malaysia to enable consumers to experience first-hand the authentic German beer drinking festival locally ,which runs from September 26 - Oct 7, at 18 key market squares throughout the city cities in peninsular and for the first time extending to East Malaysia.

The event is started at 7pm. And opening speech by MD of Carlsberg Malaysia Mr Soren Ravn. After Ms Soren tapping the first barrel of Oktoberfest beer together with  Sales Director Mr Gary Tan , Supply Chain Director, Kristian Dahl , General Manager Luen Heng F&B Sdn Bhd Kenneth Soh and Commercial Manager Luen heng F&B Sdn Bhd Sean Soh. Then Mr Soren proposed a toast to all invited guest and Ambassadors from Germany , His Excellency Dr Guenter Gruber ; Netherlands, His Excellency Paul Bekkers ; and from Denmark ,His Excellency Nicolai Ruge. Cheers and YumMMMMM....SENG !

As an opening gambit to mark the official launch ,a keg was rolled out for the first tapping of beer as traditionally practised at the centuries old  Bavarian Oktoberfest in Munich.

The Oktoberfest is officiated and followed by performance from Chicken Dance , German Authentic BAvarian Band , Special appearance from Ms Universe 2013 finalist , Cooking demo from Chef Jochern Kern from Berjaya Univesity College then to the beer challenge.

The food served by Hakka Restaurant itself . Guests were feted to a specially prepared Oktoberfest cuisine with a Malaysian twist.It was good beer , good food , good fun with approximately 400 consumers and media are attended. So much fun ! Thanks for invitations Carlsberg !
