Last 13 August 2012 , this is my first time i was invited & went to the press conference of the Petronas Raya Merdeka and Malaysia Day campaign at Petronas Gallery. I reached there about 930am and greets by the friendly PETRONAS staff. After registered my invitation and i received a fantastic goodies bag from Petronas. Love it so much. Valueable.
The opening started by a blessed prayer and followed by the speech by Dato Mohammad Medan .Then Dato Mohammad Medan launched the campaign by painting the canvas with the oil-coloured. Very proud of him. He proved us that he's very talented in painting too. Then Dato Mohammad Medan and the media walk around to the I Art You Malaysia Exhibition gallery show by 240 schoolchildren who produced their personal impressions of what they love about Malaysia. After that, he interviewed by the media and blogger. The press conference done, the non-muslim invited to having the fantastic traditional dine and because of the ramadhan month the muslims didnt join the after party part.
What its all about ?
It's regarding the Petronas Debut Web Film Tells a Bigger Story "STRANGERS"
Well, as we know , Petronas are very famous with this Festive TV Commercial. But this year Petronas make it to bigger story across the globe with different story and challenges in oversea.
Entitled Strangers , the film focuses on its main character Erman, a young Petronas engineer based in Central Asia. His Story begin when he is unable to return home to spend Hari Raya with his family, but his true journey begins when his path crosses that of a local boy ,Jeyhun.
Not merely about exploration and adventure , the film is also about a journey of self-discovery. Every step of the way brings Erman closer to realising his tru potential,reimagining his energy to contribute to the world he lives in, and discovering his inner strength to make difference to those around him.
A nice twist to the film is the interviews with real Petronas employees stationed overseas. Unscripted and spontaneous, the interviews reveal how being away from home stengthens their love and appreciation of Malaysia.

Following its debut on PETRONAS Youtube page on 6th August, the web film received an overwhelming response from Malaysians across the globe,most notaby from those who are away from home, who feel that there really is no place like home.

I ART YOU MALAYSIA EXHIBITION
All artworks will be exhibited at the Galeri Petronas from 14 August to 30 September 2012.
PETRONAS is also producing 100,000 hand flags that will handed over to the Ministry of Information ,Communication and Culture. And the non-woven bag will be distributed via PETRONAS service stations nationwide from 15 August - 16 September -with a minimum purchase RM30 from PETRONAS station or MESRA Stores.
Sentuhan Kasih Ramadhan Petronas - to give back to the underprevileged members of the society and the same time promote the spirit of giving and volunteerism among PETRONAS staff.
This year over 100 staff, PETRONAS Facebook fans and bloggers brought the festive joy to the ORang Asli settlement in Bukit Kala Gombak. The team spirit ,they cleaned the river along the Bukit Kala vicinity, refurbished three major bridges,prepared a kenduri for close to 1,500 vilaggers and contributed food hampers to over 180 families. This included the demonstration of their traditional cooking method and sumpit blowing.
